The client is a media translator specializing in subtitles and dubbing of films, TV dramas and other formats.There are a lot of popular Chinese TV dramas that need to be translated into English in a short time, here is a list of project titles. We need to complete around 3000 minutes per week.
Challenges
Because the project is relatively large and diverse, and the delivery date is also very tight, it is a big challenge for us. The project also covers ancient costume drama, time travel drama, modern drama, etc. Therefore, how can we complete this project with high quality in a short time has become the biggest difficulty and challenge of this project
Solutions
Although this project is challenging to some extent, we have
tencountered more difficult projects and successfully completed
them. Therefore, after adjusting the direction, we communicated
with other team members and finally determined the solution for
this project as follows:
1. Establish a project team and arrange 10 PMs to handle the project.
2. Fully learn and understand the guide line of customers.
3. Arrange short test drafts for translators, and select more than 20 most suitable translators.
4. In order to fully and accurately convey Chinese culture, Chinese translators and native reviewers are arranged.
Results
Everyone in our team is taking this project seriously, we also actively communicate with each other in the face of problems, we respond to the customer's information in a timely manner, we successfully passed this project after working overtime, and the customer also gave great recognition to our high-quality translation. The final results are as follows:
1. It is very important to create a vocabulary, which is convenient for unifying the name, beginning and end of lyrics. When several translators work at the same time, we can avoid inconsistency.
2. Pay attention to the check of screen words, because screen words are easy to miss.
3. Ensure that translators fully follow instructions.
4. Check the time code to ensure absolute synchronization between subtitles and voice.
5. Avoid syntax errors.
6. Because it involves copyright issues, translators are prohibited from plagiarism
