This translation agency primarily serves the public and government service sectors. They provide translation services to local agencies and have
in-house translators and editors.
The client received a regular translation project. However, there were no translation resources for the relevant language pairs required for the
project. So, they wanted to find an agency that could help with this translation work within budget.
Challenge
1 The deadline was tight and the client had a limited budget. The translation needed to be completed and sent to the client within 24 hours.
2 The source file was a PDF file of the email correspondence, and the requirement was to translate only the Greek text in the email into English.
3 The company lacked the knowledge of DTP and could not accept the DTP cost, our professional staff needed to reconfirm the cost issue with
the company, which led to the project schedule being affected.
Solution
Firstly, we extracted the text that the client needed to translate from the PDF, by Save PDF as Editable Word Document.
Secondly, the PM checked the words that needed to be translated, and then imported that into the tool.
Thirdly, the PM selected the translator with good ratings to translate.
Finally, the PM checked the translation again.
In this way, we sent the translation to the client on time with good quality
Results
The translation was completed well within the budget and on time with only 24 hours of delivery time and without any adverse feedback.
The project progressed very smoothly and we earned the client's trust as a result. With our support, the client has taken on more Greek to English projects,
and they will be asking us for other language pairs thereafter, hoping for more cooperation.
